Amaravati: In a major push toward renewable energy development, the Government of Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday announced the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth ₹60,000 crore with ReNew Power, one of India’s leading clean energy companies.
The announcement was made by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) through an official post on X (@AndhraPradeshCM), which stated that the agreements were exchanged in the presence of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Sumant Sinha, Founder Chairman and CEO of ReNew Power, ahead of the upcoming CII Partnership Summit.
“MoUs worth ₹60,000 Cr were exchanged between the Government of Andhra Pradesh and ReNew Power in the presence of Hon’ble CM Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu Garu and Mr Sumant Sinha, Founder Chairman & CEO, ReNew Power, ahead of the CII Partnership Summit,” the post read.
The statement added that this investment builds on the ₹22,000 crore commitment made by ReNew Power in May 2025, marking a significant step toward consolidating Andhra Pradesh’s position as a leader in clean and sustainable energy.
“These initiatives will further strengthen Andhra Pradesh’s leadership in clean energy and create opportunities for the state’s skilled youth,” the CMO said, highlighting the government’s focus on job creation and green growth.
