Senior Congress leader Anand Sharma has expressed strong support for the ongoing international tour by an all-party Indian parliamentary delegation aimed at exposing Pakistan-sponsored cross-border terrorism. Speaking on the significance of the diplomatic initiative, Sharma underlined the importance of unified national efforts to raise global awareness and garner support against terrorism and its state sponsors.
"We hope to succeed in sensitising global public opinion and mobilising support for India’s cause, to isolate not only the forces of terror but also the sponsors of terrorism," Sharma said, echoing a message of bipartisan commitment to national security.
The delegation, led by DMK MP Kanimozhi, includes representatives from multiple political parties, reflecting India’s united front on the issue. The group is currently visiting five countries as part of India’s broader outreach to international governments, think tanks, and civil society actors.
Sharma emphasized that India has consistently demonstrated restraint and maturity in the face of provocations. “India has been a victim of cross-border terrorism for decades. The world now recognises that Pakistan-based terrorist groups have been behind these attacks,” he added.
