DARBHANGA, BIHAR — Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday launched a sharp attack on opposition leaders while unveiling a series of development promises for Bihar during an election rally in Darbhanga.

Taking a dig at the RJD and Congress, Shah said, “Lalu and Rabri want to make their son the Chief Minister, and Sonia Gandhi wants to make her son the Prime Minister. I want to tell them that neither Lalu ji’s son will become CM nor Sonia Gandhi’s son will become the PM. There is no vacancy for these people.”

Highlighting the BJP’s vision for Bihar’s growth, Shah announced that the party plans to set up Kaushal Vikas Kendras (skill development centres) in every district to enhance employment opportunities. “Every district will get a new factory, and 10 new industrial parks will be constructed in the state. Like UP and Tamil Nadu, we will establish a defence corridor in Bihar,” he said.

Referring to recent welfare initiatives, Shah also spoke about the financial aid given to Jevika Didis under central and state schemes. “Recently, Modi ji and Nitish Kumar ji transferred over ₹1 crore (₹10,000 each) into the bank accounts of Jevika Didis. The RJD has written to the Election Commission to take back the ₹10,000 each from Jevika Didis. I want to tell them — forget Lalu and Tejashwi, even if their past three generations come, they would not be able to take this ₹10,000 from Jevika Didis,” he declared, drawing loud applause from the crowd.
