NEW DELHI – Union Home Minister Amit Shah unveiled a series of welfare promises for women and households if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) forms the government in Delhi. Addressing a rally, he announced financial aid and subsidies aimed at providing economic relief to families.
“We have decided that after the BJP government is formed, we will work to give ₹2,500 to every mother and sister directly in their bank account before the 5th of every month,” Shah said, highlighting BJP’s focus on women’s welfare.
In addition, he announced a maternity benefit scheme under which pregnant women would receive ₹21,000. To further ease household expenses, he promised that LPG cylinders would be available for ₹500, and every household would receive one free cylinder on Diwali and Holi.
