NEW DELHI – Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a scathing attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and its leader, Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, accusing them of corruption and a series of broken promises made to the people of Delhi.

Addressing a public rally, Shah criticized AAP for failing to uphold its commitment to clean governance. “They came to power in the name of removing corruption and committed a scam of thousands of crores of rupees. AAP is a party that breaks promises,” he said.

He further took aim at Kejriwal’s political journey, reminding voters of past contradictions. “He said he would not form a political party, but he did. He talked about putting Sheila Dikshit in jail and then took support from Congress. He promised to shut down liquor shops but instead became a liquor bottle himself,” Shah remarked, referencing the alleged liquor policy scam.

Criticizing Kejriwal over Delhi’s water quality issues, Shah alleged that AAP had failed in its commitment to clean the Yamuna River. “He was going to take a dip in the Yamuna but has not done so to date. Instead, he made the entire Delhi drink dirty water, and now when AAP is being opposed, he is alleging that the Haryana government has mixed poison in the water. These are all his excuses,” he asserted.
