Ambala, Haryana – Haryana Minister Anil Vij has announced that the Ambala Cantt airport is on track for its inauguration in February, with all major preparations nearing completion. Speaking about the project, Vij detailed the investments made and its strategic significance for the region.

“We have bought this land from Defence for Rs 133 crore and have given Rs 40 crore separately for the existing structures on it,” Vij revealed. He added that critical security equipment, including baggage scanners, is being procured, ensuring the airport meets necessary operational standards.

The airport, located at the historic Ambala Cantt junction, is expected to have a far-reaching impact. “The location of the airport is strategic, which will benefit Haryana, Western Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh as Ambala Cantt is a very old junction connecting many states,” Vij explained.
