In a key diplomatic engagement during their multination tour, India’s all-party parliamentary delegation visited the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy in Abu Dhabi today. Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde, part of the delegation, shared details of the visit, highlighting discussions with the Academy’s Director General, Mr. Nikolay Mladenov, as both “visionary” and “strategic.”
The interaction centered around enhancing the bilateral partnership between India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), with a strong focus on security cooperation. “There was an in-depth discussion on crucial issues such as the fight against terrorism and joint efforts against extremist ideologies,” Shinde noted in a statement.
Mr. Mladenov, a former UN envoy with deep expertise in international conflict and diplomacy, engaged with the Indian MPs on shared regional challenges and avenues for future collaboration. The delegation emphasized India's commitment to building strong, peaceful partnerships in the Gulf and welcomed the UAE’s efforts to counter radicalization.
This visit forms part of a broader diplomatic outreach under “Operation Sindoor,” aimed at engaging world leaders and institutions to isolate terrorism and its sponsors. The delegation has already held high-level meetings in multiple nations, presenting a united Indian stance on global terrorism.
