Kushinagar | Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav expressed solidarity with the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack and urged the government to take decisive action against Pakistan, while warning against using national tragedies for political gains.

Addressing a gathering in Kushinagar, Yadav said, "The whole country stands with the families of the tourists who have been martyred. No one can reduce their grief and pain. We all condemn such incidents." He recalled that during the all-party meeting following the attack, all political parties, including the SP, stood united with the government against terrorism.

"The Samajwadi Party also believes that whatever concrete steps the government wants to take, it should take them to respond to Pakistan," Yadav affirmed. He emphasized the need for effective measures to prevent future security breaches, noting, "Even children feel that this was an intelligence failure."

While offering full support to strong counter-terror measures, Yadav also issued a clear warning against politicising such incidents. "We also want to say that no political gains should be made from such incidents," he stressed.
