Lucknow: Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday lauded the newly released war film 120 Bahadur, calling it a powerful cinematic tribute to the Indian Army and its legacy of sacrifice. He said the movie would inspire younger generations and strengthen respect for the armed forces by bringing to light stories of valour often confined to history books.
“This film reminds our younger generations, and especially our soldiers, of the glorious history of our armed forces — a history we take great pride in,” Yadav said. Highlighting the depiction of the Rezang La battle, he noted that the film presents a true account of extraordinary courage displayed during one of the most intense confrontations in Indian military history.
Yadav emphasised that Captain Ramchander Yadav and several other soldiers showcased unmatched bravery in extreme conditions while defending the nation. He said such stories deserve wider recognition and must be shared with future generations to preserve the spirit of patriotism.
120 Bahadur, directed by Razneesh ‘Razy’ Ghai, is backed by Excel Entertainment and Trigger Happy Studios. The film stars Farhan Akhtar as Major Shaitan Singh and Raashii Khanna as Shagun Kanwar, portraying the personal and emotional dimension of wartime sacrifice.
