Mumbai: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and NCP leader Ajit Pawar on Thursday paid tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy CM Eknath Shinde, and other Mahayuti alliance leaders. The event, which underscored the coalition's commitment to state governance, saw Pawar reiterating the ideologies of the great leaders Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar as guiding principles.
Speaking on the occasion, Pawar said, “Today, I paid tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj along with CM Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy CM Eknath Shinde, and other leaders of Mahayuti. We aim to govern Maharashtra by following the ideologies of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Dr. Ambedkar.”
Ajit Pawar also extended his gratitude to the people of Maharashtra for their unwavering support. “The voters of Maharashtra have shown immense faith in us, and I wholeheartedly thank them for their trust and support,” he added.
The Deputy CM's remarks come at a time when the Mahayuti alliance seeks to consolidate its position in the state by projecting a unified front and drawing inspiration from historical and ideological icons. The coalition, which includes BJP, NCP (Ajit Pawar faction), and Shiv Sena (Shinde faction), aims to address pressing governance issues while fostering development rooted in the vision of leaders like Shivaji and Ambedkar.
The tribute ceremony emphasized the alliance’s collective resolve to honor Maharashtra's legacy and serve its citizens with dedication.
