Chennai, Tamil Nadu: National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval on Thursday addressed concerns over international media coverage of Operation Sindoor during an event at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras. He strongly criticised foreign media outlets for what he described as misleading reporting on the operation and its impact.

Referring to claims suggesting damage on the Indian side, Doval questioned their credibility. “Foreign press said that Pakistan did that and this... You tell me one photograph, one image, which shows any damage to any Indian [structure], even a glass pane having been broken,” he remarked. He pointed out the absence of concrete evidence in the form of images or videos to support the allegations of damage.

He further elaborated on the imagery used in foreign reports, stating that the only available visuals showed before-and-after satellite images of 13 Pakistani air bases, including Sargodha, Rahim Yar Khan, and Chaklala, dated around May 10. “I am only telling you what the foreign media put out on the basis of images,” he added, implying that any destruction shown pertained to Pakistani infrastructure.

While not divulging operational details, Doval asserted India’s capability to target enemy assets if required, stating, “We are capable of doing that [damage to Pakistani air bases].”
