Ahmedabad, June 17: In the wake of the tragic plane crash in Ahmedabad that claimed 272 lives, Member of Parliament Pappu Yadav has raised serious concerns over the circumstances of the disaster and the government’s response, calling for an international investigation into the incident.

Speaking on the catastrophe, Yadav questioned the rapid failure of both engines just seconds after takeoff. “In just 40 seconds, how can both engines fail? The plane took off after receiving clearance, and within two minutes, it crashed,” he said, implying possible negligence or deeper technical lapses.

The MP did not hold back in criticizing the political class, particularly Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the site. “272 people lost their lives. There must be an international investigation. Is there any morality or empathy left in this country? Politicians seem to be enjoying themselves,” he remarked. “Our Prime Minister went to meet the victims with nine cameras and four drones,” he added, suggesting the visit was more performative than compassionate.
