Ahmedabad, Gujarat | Banchha Nidhi Pani, Commissioner of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC), has recounted the harrowing moments following the tragic Air India Boeing Dreamliner crash on the afternoon of June 12, praising the rapid and coordinated emergency response that followed the disaster.

Speaking to the media, Commissioner Pani revealed that Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel immediately directed the administration to create a green corridor to speed up rescue and medical evacuation operations. Within minutes of the incident, 101 fire tenders and 98 ambulances were mobilized to the crash site.

“The response was very quick. The injured and deceased were transported to hospitals without delay. The entire operation was executed in a span of just four hours,” Pani said.

He commended the exemplary coordination between multiple agencies, including the AMC team, the district collector’s office, police, NDRF, and SDRF, who all worked in close synergy to control the situation, extinguish fires, rescue survivors, and preserve the crash site for investigation.
