Kolkata | BJP MLA Agnimitra Paul launched a scathing attack on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, accusing her of ignoring constitutional rules and engaging in appeasement politics. Paul criticized Banerjee's recent remarks against Union Home Minister Amit Shah, asserting that the Chief Minister fails to adhere to constitutional obligations despite accepting Central government perks.
"When you are taking perks from the Central government, then you need to follow its rules," Paul stated. "But here, our Chief Minister has time to lead a procession accusing Amit Shah ji of insulting Dr. BR Ambedkar while not following the Constitution herself."
Paul also alleged that Mamata Banerjee’s policies are compromising national security. "Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, because of her appeasement politics, has been giving shelter to all types of terrorists. Trinamool public representatives are hand in glove to provide shelter to these terrorists through the border from Bangladesh," she claimed.
The BJP MLA accused Banerjee’s administration of turning West Bengal into a safe haven for individuals expelled from other regions. "They are being kicked out of Assam, Kashmir, but they know they will get an Aadhaar card in West Bengal," she remarked.
She warned that the lives of 140 crore Indians are at risk due to Mamata Banerjee's alleged negligence and appeasement policies. The Trinamool Congress is yet to respond to the remarks, which are expected to heighten political tensions inthe state.
