Mumbai: Samajwadi Party Maharashtra chief Abu Asim Azmi addressed the media, reaffirming the party’s commitment to the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance in the lead-up to the 2024 Maharashtra elections. Azmi noted, “We are part of Maha Vikas Aghadi. We will continue with them.” He acknowledged the internal dynamics of the coalition, mentioning that while there are some “friendly fights” among members, the party intends to maintain its solidarity.
Azmi expressed his aspirations for Bhiwandi, a constituency he aims to develop further. “If we have two MLAs from Bhiwandi, it would be a miracle. We want to improve Bhiwandi just like Nashik,” he said, highlighting his vision for transforming the area. He emphasized the need for focused development, stating, “We want to develop Bhiwandi. So, we want to win both seats.”
Calling upon the electorate for support, Azmi urged the public to back the Samajwadi Party, stressing the importance of their victory in the elections for the betterment of the community. “We urge the public to make us win,” he concluded, showcasing his determination to secure a strong presence in the Maharashtra Assembly. As the elections approach, Azmi’s remarks reflect the party’s strategy of fostering community engagement while reinforcing their alliance within the broader coalition.
