Tokyo, Japan: Speaking during an interaction with the Indian community in Japan, Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Abhishek Banerjee highlighted the unprecedented unity of India’s political leadership in taking a strong message against terrorism to the global stage.
Addressing a gathering at the Indian Embassy in Tokyo, Banerjee said, “This delegation began its journey from Japan, one of India’s most strategic partners. From there, we will be visiting South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia.”
He revealed that this is part of a larger diplomatic initiative under which “seven such delegations have been sent to 32 countries across the world.” The delegations comprise members from various political parties, united in their mission to counter cross-border terrorism and misinformation.
“We may belong to different political parties, but we all share one objective,” he said, emphasizing that political differences have been set aside in the national interest. Banerjee further noted a significant shift in approach, stating, “This time, we have come with evidence. Earlier, people used to say there wasn’t enough evidence in the public domain to justify our claims.”
