Lucknow, UP: In a pointed statement, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Member of Parliament Sanjay Singh on Monday urged the Central Government to convene a special session of Parliament to address pressing national concerns. He emphasized the need for parliamentary deliberation, asserting that if the government is willing to hold an all-party meeting, it should not hesitate to organize a full-fledged session of Parliament.
"If the government can call an all-party meeting, then it should not have a problem with convening a special session of the Parliament on such a big issue," Singh stated. While he did not specify the issue at the center of his appeal, his comments are seen as a call for greater transparency and inclusiveness in government decision-making.
The AAP leader further stressed that the Parliament remains the most appropriate forum for discussing national matters. "In the Parliament, leaders of different political parties can keep their views, suggestions and also ask about the preparations being done by the government," he added.
