New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh has raised concerns over alleged irregularities in the electoral process, calling for greater scrutiny and debate within Parliament. His remarks come in response to the Election Commission of India’s (ECI) reply to Congress MP and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, on matters related to the integrity of the voter list and election conduct.
Singh cited reported cases of questionable entries in the electoral rolls, including the issuance of residential certificates and election cards under unusual circumstances. He alleged that such instances undermine the credibility of the electoral system and called for immediate parliamentary attention to address these concerns.
