NEW DELHI – The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of orchestrating an attack on the convoy of Arvind Kejriwal. Speaking at a press conference, AAP national spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar alleged that BJP MP Parvesh Verma was involved in the incident.
“We saw how Parvesh Verma, without any fear of law and order, was distributing shoes, money, slippers, and organizing camps just half a kilometre away from the Election Commission,” Kakkar stated. She further claimed that Verma resorted to the attack after sensing public support shifting towards Kejriwal.
“When he saw that the people of New Delhi were inclined towards Arvind Kejriwal, he carried out this cowardly attack,” Kakkar said.
Referring to earlier warnings from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) about threats to Kejriwal’s life, Kakkar criticized the lack of action. “When MHA said there was a threat to Arvind Kejriwal’s life, they should have also said the threat was from BJP leaders. It was an orchestrated attack,” she alleged.
Kakkar accused the BJP of lacking a constructive agenda for Delhi, stating, “BJP has no vision, model, or positive agenda for Delhi. BJP never speaks the truth.”
