Mumbai: Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray on Tuesday launched a sharp attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing it of reneging on key poll promises made before the elections.
"The BJP has constantly lied about its manifesto promises," Thackeray alleged, highlighting that financial assistance of ₹2,100 under the ‘Ladli Behna’ scheme and farmer loan waivers were among the commitments that have now been refused.
He further criticized the ruling party for failing to address issues that played a crucial role in their electoral success. "They did not speak a word on the promises that made them win the elections," he stated, signaling growing dissatisfaction among opposition leaders over the government’s stance.
