Mumbai, Maharashtra – Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Aaditya Thackeray has strongly criticized Samajwadi Party (SP) MLA Abu Azmi following his suspension from the Budget session of the Maharashtra Assembly over his controversial remarks on Aurangzeb. Thackeray accused Azmi of being a political tool used by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to divert attention from pressing issues in the state.
“If anybody praises Aurangzeb or insults Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, that person has no place in India or Maharashtra,” Thackeray asserted while addressing the media.
He further alleged that Azmi was deliberately being used by the BJP to stir controversy whenever the ruling party found itself in trouble. “Abu Azmi is the B team of the BJP. Every time the BJP faces difficulties in Maharashtra, they activate Abu Azmi. That’s exactly what happened in the last session. The BJP was in trouble, so they used him to create a distraction,” Thackeray claimed.
