Mumbai: Aaditya Thackeray, Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA and grandson of Balasaheb Thackeray, provided an update on the progress of the Balasaheb Thackeray Memorial, describing it as a heartfelt tribute to the late leader's legacy. Speaking about the memorial, Thackeray highlighted its significance as a source of inspiration for people across the globe.
“Phase one is completed, and phase two is about to start soon. We are looking forward to it,” Aaditya Thackeray said. The memorial, dedicated to Balasaheb Thackeray, the founder of Shiv Sena and a towering figure in Maharashtra's political landscape, is envisioned as a place to celebrate his life and work.
Thackeray emphasized the focus on showcasing his grandfather’s remarkable journey. “What is very important is his life story that has inspired millions of people around the world, will come on display here,” he stated.
He also stressed that the memorial is an emotional project for the family and the Shiv Sena (UBT), with no interest in claiming credit. “We are not interested in credit. For us, this is very emotional. This is very close to hearts, and we are only interested in getting the life story to millions of more people to inspire them,” he added.
