Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir | Amid rising tensions in the Middle East, 94 students from Jammu and Kashmir who were evacuated from Iran have safely arrived in Delhi, the Office of the Chief Minister of J&K confirmed in a social media post on Wednesday.
“94 of our students evacuated from Iran have safely reached Delhi. The Government is making transport arrangements to ensure their smooth journey home, which will be in place within the next few hours,” read the official post from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).
The evacuation was part of a coordinated effort between the Ministry of External Affairs and various state governments to bring back Indian nationals amid growing concerns over the safety of civilians in the region, particularly after recent escalations involving Iran.
