New Delhi, June 17 — In a significant boost to the capital’s primary healthcare infrastructure, Delhi Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh inaugurated 33 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs on Monday, with a vision to expand the initiative across the city in the coming months.

Speaking at the inauguration, the minister emphasised the role of these centres in reducing the burden on large government hospitals by addressing primary healthcare needs at the community level. “All primary care facilities are available here. These centres are designed to bring quality healthcare closer to the people,” he said.

In addition to the Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, a Jan Aushadhi Kendra was also inaugurated to provide affordable generic medicines to the public. Singh highlighted that a total of 1139 such health centres are planned for the future across Delhi, aiming for widespread and equitable access to healthcare.

“A fund of ₹2400 crores has been allocated to the Delhi government, and every rupee will be spent for the welfare of the people,” he added.
