Bengaluru: Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar on Tuesday said that more than 13,000 potholes across Bengaluru have been filled as part of ongoing road maintenance efforts. Addressing reporters, he emphasized the need for a “permanent solution” to the city’s recurring road issues, announcing plans for a major infrastructure upgrade.
According to Shivakumar, the government is preparing a ₹1,100 crore project aimed at improving Bengaluru’s road network. The initiative is expected to focus not only on filling potholes but also on strengthening drainage, resurfacing damaged stretches, and ensuring better quality control during road construction.
