Budget FY 2024-25: Roads and railways likely to lead capex

BY A STAFF REPORTER: In the financial year 2024 and 2025, special arrangements have been made for roads and railways, sources said. 

It is learnt that the government will continue to dominate roads and railways despite restraint in raising capital. In 2024, about 40 per cent has been allocated for the railway sector. The Union Finance Minister said that the remaining share has been allocated for the Railways.
