Budget FY 2024-25: Agriculture credit target likely to increase

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman may increase the credit target for the agriculture sector. He may increase the target of agricultural credit to Rs 22-25 lakh crore in the next financial year. The government will try to ensure that every farmer who fulfills the conditions does not face any difficulty in getting a loan.

According to sources, the government had set a target of Rs 20 lakh crore for the current financial year.
