BY A STAFF REPORTER: The contribution of agriculture to the country's economy has decreased. However, there has been no change in their share of employment. As a result, not enough employment opportunities have been created in the economy. In such a situation, poverty remains. The government has introduced several policies to double the income of farmers. According to the data, the average monthly income of agricultural households has increased by 59 percent. It increased from Rs 6,426 in 2012-13 to Rs 10,218 in 2018-19. The Finance Ministry is likely to announce a number of measures for agrarian reforms.
