West Bengal: PM Modi Takes A Dig At TMC For Sandeshkhali Incident
While addressing a public gathering in Arambag, PM Modi stated that the country has seen what TMC has done with the sisters of Sandeshkhali. PM Modi further stressed that the country is enraged by the Sandeshkhali incident.
BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a significant move, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday slammed Trinamool Congress for unrest-hit Sandeshkhali and asserted that the whole country is enraged with the incident.
While addressing a public gathering in Arambag, PM Modi stated that the country has seen what TMC has done with the sisters of Sandeshkhali. PM Modi stressed that the country is enraged by the Sandeshkhali incident. He further emphasized that Raja Ram Mohan Roy's soul must be agonized by what happened in Sandeshkhali. Moreover, PM Modi asserted that the Bengal Police was forced to arrest Shahjahan Sheikh, the main accused in the Sandeshkhali violence. He further mentioned that BJP workers fought for the dignity of women in Sandeshkhali.

Additionally, the controversial TMC leader Shahjahan Sheikh was arrested by West Bengal Police in the Minakhan area of North 24 Parganas. He has been awarded 10-day custody by a local court in Basirhat. Furthermore, he has been suspended by the TMC for six years.
A village located in North 24 Parganas, West Bengal, Sandeshkhali is witnessing significant clashes and violence following allegations of systematic sexual exploitations and land-grabbing committed by TMC leaders, Shahjahan Sheikh, Shibu Hazara and Uttam Sardar. Shahjahan Sheikh remained absconding since 5th January after an ED team was attacked by a large mob while conducting raids at Shahjahan's residence.
