West Bengal DGP Rajeev Kumar Set To Stay In Sandeshkhali Tonight

BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a significant development, the West Bengal DGP will stay in unrest-hit Sandeshkhali on Wednesday night and hold talks with the police officials.

Moreover, DGP Rajeev Kumar arrived in Sandeshkhali today afternoon on a ferry. According to NCW Chairperson Rekha Sharma, who recently visited Sandeshkhali, DGP Rajeev Kumar is pressurized against taking measures to tackle the Sandeshkhali situation.

A village located in North 24 Parganas, West Bengal, Sandeshkali is witnessing significant clashes and violence following allegations of systematic sexual exploitations and land-grabbing committed by TMC leaders, Shahjahan Sheikh, Shibu Hazara and Uttam Sardar. While others have been arrested, Shahjahan Sheikh remains absconding.
