BY A STAFF REPORTER: The soldiers of Vijaypur's Border Security Force prevented the smuggling of gold in the International borders of West Bengal's Nadia district on Wednesday 24th January. 

The soldiers received substantial intel about the illicit transport and arrested the smuggler who was carrying 19 gold biscuits and one gold brick worth rs. 2.19 crores. Moreover, the recovered gold weighed 3.56 Kg. The soldiers were from the 32nd Battalion of Border Security Force (BSF) and launched a well-organized operation acting upon the information.

The Nadia district shares a border with Bangladesh. Further investigations are underway.
