BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a recent statement, Bihar's Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday revealed that he asked alliance members to not name the alliance as 'Indian Development Inclusive Alliance' (INDIA). However, he claimed that the name had been finalized till then.

He further revealed that the Alliance is yet to decide on which seat parties will contest. Kumar termed this as a reason for leaving the alliance and joining NDA.

The current chief minister Nitish Kumar resigned from his post and formed a new government with the aid of the BJP on Sunday. Earlier in 2022, he had left NDA and joined the Bihar Mahagathbandhan (grand alliance) which comprised Lalu Yadav's RJD, Congress, and three other parties.
