Tragedy in Lonavala: Navy Divers Rescue Effort

A tragic incident unfolded near Bhushi dam in Lonavala, Maharashtra, where a woman and four children drowned at a waterfall. Indian Navy divers from INS Shivaji have launched a rigorous search and rescue operation since early this morning to recover the bodies.

District Collector Suhas Diwase provided updates, stating, "We commenced the rescue operation at 8 am. INS Shivaji divers are currently deploying their best efforts despite adverse weather conditions. The rising water levels due to rain and windy conditions are posing challenges, intermittently disrupting the rescue efforts. However, we are committed to recovering the bodies."
