Supreme Court To Hear Plea Challenging Kejriwal's Arrest Tomorrow

The top AAP leaders demanded a midnight and urgent hearing for the arrest of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. However, the demand has been turned down as the Supreme Court will not hold any late-night hearing for Kejriwal's arrest.

BY A STAFF REPORTER: The Supreme Court is expected to hear AAP plea challenging Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's arrest on March 22, Friday. 

The top AAP leaders demanded a midnight and urgent hearing for the arrest of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. However, the demand has been turned down as the Supreme Court will not hold any late-night hearing for Kejriwal's arrest. 

Arvind Kejriwal has been shifted to the Enforcement Directorate Headquarters in Delhi and will spend the night in the lockup.

Moreover, top AAP leaders and family members of Arvind Kejriwal are present near the office. Furthermore, AAP leaders are set to stage peaceful protests in front of Kejriwal's residence tonight. Arvind Kejriwal will go through a medical examination tomorrow. Also, Section 144 has been imposed in several parts of Delhi including the entire area around the ED Office in Delhi.

He will produced in the PMLA court tomorrow. It is yet to be ascertained if he will be produced physically or virtually. Furthermore, Delhi Minister Atishi informed presspersons that Arvind Kejriwal will run the office during his custody. 

The Enforcement Directorate arrested Delhi CM and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal from his residence in connection with the Delhi Liquorgate case. He was arrested following search operations and Interrogations conducted by the ED at his residence on Thursday evening.

Arvind Kejriwal is the second sitting CM arrested by the ED in the last two months. Earlier, Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren was arrested on 31st January by the ED in connection with the Land Scam and Mining Scam cases.
