BY A STAFF REPORTER: Now Supreme Court issues notice to Mamata Banerjee's govt over 'The Kerala Story'. From conversion to love jihad and other themes, 'The Kerala Story' has sparked a nationwide debate. The film was banned in West Bengal on the orders of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has issued a notice to the Mamata Banerjee government on a plea challenging the West Bengal government's decision to ban the screening of 'The Kerala Story'. Along with West Bengal, the Supreme Court has also issued notices to Tamil Nadu. Chief Justice DY Chandrachud said, "The film is being screened across the country, so why should the West Bengal government ban the film? Why don't you, Hon'ble Mamata Banerjee, let this continue?"
