However, ahead of the panchayat polls, several districts of Bengal have been in turmoil. In view of the ongoing violence in the process of filing nominations, the State Election Commissioner has directed videography of the nomination process for the West Bengal panchayat elections scheduled for July 8 for a free and fair process of filing nominations. This is what the State Election Commission said.
