Manipur violence: 'Stay at Home', State DGP urged people

The northeastern state Manipur has been gripped by violence. Due to violence many areas are effected in state. Meanwhile, security personnel are conducting a flag march to bring the situation under control.

BY A STAFF REPORTER: The northeastern state Manipur has been gripped by violence. Due to violence many areas are effected in state. Meanwhile, security personnel are conducting a flag march to bring the situation under control.  State DGP P Dungal has opened up about the current situation of Manipur. He says, "The situation has improved due to the security forces and we have received strict orders that those who create a situation like violence should not be spared. We will take strict action against those who create violence. ''

DGP P Dungal urged the protesters to return the looted arms and ammunition from the police. He says, "We have CCTV footage and we know the people involved. We appeal to the government to return the weapons in the next few days, otherwise we will be forced to take strict action. The government has placed an order for a shoot-at-site. Police and Army's are different, So i urged everyone should stay at home without protesting."
