Sporadic clashes continued in Manipur even as security forces carried out area domination exercise in trouble torn spots. For the first time Manipur government admitted that around 28 persons have died although unofficial figures indicated around 50 deaths. Speaking exclusively to ANM News from Imphal, security advisor to Manipur government, Kuldiep Singh mentioned that situation is slowly normalising and Manipur police is taking stock of the situation. Security forces have rescued thousands from trouble torn areas. Relief and rescue operations are still continuing and efforts are now on to identify and arrest the arsonists.
