BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a significant development, Congress Chairperson Sonia Gandhi expressed that she won't be able to contest Lok Sabha elections due to health concerns on 15th February, Thursday.

Moreover, Gandhi addressed a letter to the people of Rae Bareli, seeking their support. She recalled how people of Rae Bareli accepted her after the death of her husband Rajiv Gandhi and mother-in-law Indira Gandhi. "I know you will stand by me and my family in the future just as in the past" she added. 

Sonia Gandhi filed her nominations for Rajya Sabha elections from Rajasthan on 14th February, Wednesday. Furthermore, this will be her first term in Rajya Sabha.
