Schedule Announced: Lok Sabha Elections To Be Held In 7 Phases

The Election Commission of India announced the much-awaited schedule for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections on March 16, Saturday. The elections are set to be held in seven phases from April 19 and counting of votes will commence on June 4.

BY A STAFF REPORTER: The Election Commission of India announced the much-awaited schedule for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections on March 16, Saturday. The elections are set to be held in seven phases from April 19 and counting of votes will commence on June 4.

While addressing a presser, CEC Rajiv Kumar announced the dates, measures, and challenges for the upcoming general elections. The Elections will be held in seven phases. Phase One will commence on April 19, Phase Two of voting will begin on April 26 Phase Three will begin on May 7, Phase Four will commence on May 13, Phase Five will start on May 20, and Phase six on May 25. The last Phase will be held on June 1. Furthermore, the results will be declared on June 4. 

Moreover, the current Lok Sabha assembly will be concluded on June 16. The 18th Lok Sabha Assembly will be constituted on the same day.
