BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a controversial statement, BJP MP Manoj on Wednesday criticized Congress leaders' decision to not attend the Ram Temple's consecration ceremony, stating them as opposers of Ram Temple construction.

Tiwari recalled that Congress appointed senior advocates against the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Moreover, he accused them of calling Lord Ram a 'fictional character' and refuting the existence of Ram Setu. The BJP MP also emphasized that Prime Minister Narendra Modi resides in the minds of Indians akin to the way Lord Ram does. He further stressed that Lord Ram belongs to everyone and it is Congress' problem if they don't claim Lord Ram as their own.

The statement comes after Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary officially turned down the invitation for the Ram Temple consecration ceremony which will be held on 22nd January in Ayodhya Uttar Pradesh. They further termed it as 'BJP/RSS event'.
