While addressing the media at the Dhaka international airport, Prof Mohammed Yunus congratulated the students and youths for ``liberating Bangladesh'' and pledged to improve the situation shortly. But Prof Yunus did not condemn violence, mayhem and mindless killing over the last three days.

Prof Yunus was silent on the fact that thousands have been rendered homeless in Bangladesh and the country has turned into a lawless killing field. Many Bangladeshis are sceptical about Prof Yunus and told reporters that the way forward for the country looks extremely difficult.
