Police Detains WB BJP President Sukanta Majumdar In Sandeshkhali

BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a significant move, the police authorities detained West Bengal BJP President Dr. Sukanta Majumdar as he sat in protest during his visit to Sandeshkhali, North 24 Parganas on 22nd February, Thursday. 

As per reports, Sukanta Majumdar staged a protest demanding the arrest of absconding TMC leader Shahjahan Sheikh in unrest-hit Sandeshkhali. Earlier today, he was permitted by the police authorities to enter Sandeshkhali. 

Furthermore, WB BJP President Sukanta Majumdar is set to organize a protest demanding the arrest of absconding TMC leader Shahjahan Sheikh and against the Sandeshkhali incident in Kolkata from 26th February.

A village located in North 24 Parganas, West Bengal, Sandeshkhali is witnessing significant clashes and violence following allegations of systematic sexual exploitations and land-grabbing committed by TMC leaders, Shahjahan Sheikh, Shibu Hazara and Uttam Sardar. While others have been arrested, Shahjahan Sheikh remains absconding.
