BY A STAFF REPORTER: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a two-day visit to Gujarat. The Prime Minister praised the teachers from Gandhinagar. He says, "Once upon a time, the drop-out rate in Gujarat was high, but due to the hard work of teachers, today it has come down to 3 per cent. No technology can understand a student's family problem and only a teacher can understand and solve a student's problem." Addressing a session of the Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Sangh in Gandhinagar on Friday, PM Modi said, "Lakhs of teachers have contributed to the formulation of the National Education Policy. At present, India is creating new opportunities according to the needs of the 21st century and keeping this in mind, the new National Education Policy has been prepared." Watch the video...
