BY A STAFF REPORTER: The situation in Manipur is still tense after the clashes. However, the Indian Army has claimed that the situation in Manipur is now under control. Meanwhile, security personnel were seen patrolling the streets of Imphal in Manipur on Saturday with guns. The video has already gone viral on social media. Local people say the army is trying to bring the situation under control, but there is still an atmosphere of fear. Meanwhile, many people are taking shelter in the neighbouring state of Assam fearing for their lives. A Manipur resident says, "As long as the army is in Manipur, we are safe, but it cannot be asserted that the army will protect us at all times. Thats why we crossed the Assam border in the middle of the night and reached Assam."
