BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a significant move, Congress' Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra will be paused on Tuesday morning as Congress MP Rahul Gandhi will appear before the court in a defamation case. Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh informs on Monday, 20th February.

Taking to his X handle, Jairam Ramesh informed netizens that Rahul Gandhi will appear in Sultanpur's district civil court concerning a defamation case filed by a BJP leader on 4th August 2018. Consequently, the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra will pause on Tuesday morning and resume from Fursatganj, Amethi at 2:00 PM on 20th February. 

Additionally, Rahul Gandhi has been summoned for making derogatory remarks against Union Home Minister Amit Shah in 2018 in a Bengaluru conference. BJP District Vice President Vijay Mishra had filed the case
