TMC filed a complaint against PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been accused of violating the Model Code of Conduct. TMC has filed a complaint against him in Election Commission. TMC leader Saket Gokhale has filed the complaint. He tweeted that, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday announced an extension of the free ration programme for another five years. This is a policy decision that can be announced at any time. Prime Minister Modi made the announcement at a BJP election rally in Chhattisgarh's Durg. According to the Election Commission rules, such a declaration by a minister during an election is tantamount to unfairly influencing voters using state machinery. I have filed a complaint with the Election Commission demanding urgent action against this desperate and brazen move by Prime Minister Modi to influence the assembly elections in five states.” 

Important:



PM Modi yesterday announced the extension of the free ration program for another 5 years.



This is a policy decision that could've been announced anytime.



But PM Modi chose to announce this during an election rally for the BJP in Durg, Chhattisgarh.
