BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a significant move, BJP Manoj Tiwari visited Delhi's Majnu Ka Tilla to meet refugees from Pakistan on Monday. The Refugees hailed the decision and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, marking him as an avatar of Lord Ram.
Shortly after the release of the CAA notification, Manoj Tiwari visited Majnu Ka Tilla and assured them residences. A Pakistani Refugee stated, "I Consider PM Modi as an Avatar of Lord Ram".
Majnu Ka Tilla in New Delhi is home to Hindu refugees from Pakistan. However, the community has to face challenges as they lack basic amenities such as electricity due to the absence of citizenship.

The Ministry of Home Affairs announced the rules of the Citizenship Amendment Act (2019). Furthermore, the newly-implemented CAA will be called 'The Citizenship Amendment Act (Rules) 2024'. The Act aims to grant Indian Citizenship to the refugees and migrants belonging to Hindu, Sikh, Jain, Parsi, Buddhist, Jain, and Christian communities who arrived in India before 31st December 2014 and faced persecution in their homelands.
