BY A STAFF REPORTER: Once again, the Modi government has taken a big decision. The central government blocks 14 mobile messenger apps. According to reports, the militants used these mobile messenger apps to spread multiple secret messages. Not only that, through these apps, terrorists used to collect messages from Pakistan. And with this information, the detectives lost their sleep at night. According to sources, the Centre has taken this step on the recommendation of the defence forces, security, intelligence and investigation agencies. Several intelligence agencies have found that these apps were being used by militants in Kashmir to communicate with their supporters and on-ground personnel (OGWs). These apps have been blocked under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act, 2000. Apps that have been discontinued include CreepWeaser, Enigma, SafeSuise, Wikrame, MediaFire, Briar, Bithat, Nandbox, Conion, IMO, Element, Second Line, Jangi, 3ma and many more.
