Dr. Manoj Pant’s Tenure as Chief Secretary Extended by Six Months

Kolkata: In a key administrative decision, the tenure of West Bengal Chief Secretary Dr. Manoj Pant has been extended by six months. The extension comes into effect from July 1, 2025, and will continue until December 31, 2025.

The decision was taken after the Centre approved a proposal sent by the West Bengal government recommending the extension. Dr. Manoj Pant, a senior IAS officer, has been serving as the Chief Secretary and will continue in this crucial role to oversee state administration for the extended period.
